The DREAM came true, withhin one week even twice!!!

VERY happy Hellos,

as you can see in the greeting I am VERY excited! I have two reasons for that: I got on 2 (!!!) DESIGN TEAMS within 7 days. So much good news in such a short period! I just say: my dream after years scrapbooking/card making came true! I feel so much acknowledge and proud.....!!!

One team, which I am a part of, is from Beyond the Door Scrap Challenge: once a month you get a picture of a part of a house as an inspiration and you can go wild with your fantasy!!! I played few times with them and found the pictures very well chosen and a month is a enough time to create something reasonable, particularly, if you a busy person, like me with a toddler and a baby! Also the design team (for example former members like Lou and Cathy etc.-I found the blog through her) were doing such a great job, you feel so much inspired that you just want to sit down and scrap. That was my case! Speaking of design team, I can't belive that my name is listed next to big names in the scrapbooking world like:

The second good news about the design team membership came from Enmarc Crafts, which are making great white board products, I felt in love with, when I came to South Africa. My dear friend Nolene told me about the DT call and I decided to apply without any hope for success. And guess what, the guys from Enmarc Crafts loved my LOs and invited me to join them.
You can imagine me dancing in my living room for days! My husband was laughing at me or with me, becuase he didn't see me so happy for a while.

Below you can see a LO for the December inspiration for Beyond the Door Scrap Challenge and of course with some chipboard from Enmarc Crafts: bird houses!

The inspirational picture of a porch is beautiful and I am sure, you will also make a beautiful LO based on it! Looking forward to see all the creations from you folks!

Howdy,
always looking for nice juicy challenges and I found this time: 123 Challenge, where you have to scrap according to 3 criterias. This time: gray/word-please/unusual stamping, in my case-stamping on velum and ribbon.

That what I came up with: I scrap a picture of my husband Maik on his 36th birthday.

The Lo is bit dark, but I still love it!

Happy Hellos,

thank you sooooo much for your warm words to the last post. Everyone was amazed by the picture of the sweet tiny feet of my daughter, hold in my hands, few hours after she was born 5 months ago. Therefore I decided to scrap this picture one more time. Sorry, I can't help it!!! I could eat her feet, they are so cute!

I used for that the photo inspiration of the scrap challenge Beyond the Door and the words on the LO match the Bird Is The Word challenge: Trust (me). So much fun to combine two fabulous challenges!

The color blue doesn't belong to my favorites, but I have to admit that I really enjoy to work on this LO, maybe because of the picture, hahaha!

Happy hellos!!!

I just say one: "Summer in South Africa"-love it!!! We spent today the whole day in the pool! It was awesome!!!Over 30 degrees Celsius!!! Way to go!

Few days ago I worked on a LO for 2 challenges: Kraft It Up! with creative ways to display the journaling... and Once Upon A...Sketch (what a original title of the challenge!)-1st time with this challenge.

The sketch from Once Upon A...Sketch was very helpful and the journaling about ANY female in your life: in this case my new daughter, is hidding in the rolled message with the ribbon (creative way ;), next to the Prima Marketing rose. The small letter to Lisa is very personal, but I can tell you that is talking about how she changed my life with her presence since June 2011.

Parenthood and overwhelming tiredness

Hello,
it has been a while since I was blogging. My excuse: overwhelming tiredness. I came to the conclusion, that the parenthood would be so much easier without tiredness feeling, which lately overwhelmed me. OK, my hubby was on biz trip for two weeks. During this time I went to bed an hour after my children were in bed. That's early for me!

Juz dawno mnie tu nie bylo. Moje usprawiedliwienie: przytłaczające zmęczenie. Doszlam do wniosku, że rodzicielstwo byłoby o wiele łatwiejsze , gdyby nie towarzyszylo temu wieczne zmęczenia, które ostatnio mnie scina z nog. Do tego mój maz był na wyjezdzie sluzbowym na dwa tygodnie. W tym czasie chodzilam spać godzinę po tym, jak moje dzieci były w łóżkach. To dla mnie naprawde wczesnie, normalnie jest typem sowy!

New start...: Sketchy Thursdays & Beyond the Door Scrap Challenge

Happy hellos,

I think my mojo is slowly back. My fingers are itching again, this time for Sketchy Thursdays sketch and inspiration picture with shelves full of books (my world!) from Beyond the Door. I created a LO, showing a row of books, the first books we bought after the disaster with the container. The container travelling on a ship arrived from Canada in South Africa with 4 feet of ocean water. You can just imagine the damage to everything we had: furniture, bedding, personal stuff and .....all the BOOKS! That hurts! So we had to decided to wipe the tears and start over again to collect the books.
My mom in Poland is doing great job, sending me the Polish titles! Thanks Mom! That is so important for me here, because here I don't have anyone to speak the language, so at least reading will help to keep my Polish alive;)) I also found a good source for good titles: a blog of a Polish librarian www.godsavethebook.blogspot.com, where she is writing reviews. When I found the blog and started read, I was amazed about the style of her writing! Absolutely s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g!

Myślę, że moje mojo powoli wraca. Moje palce ponownie swedza, aby wykombinowac jakies LO, tym razem dla Sketchy Thursdays i dla Beyond the Door Scrap Challenge ze zdjeciem -inspiracja z półkami pełnymi książek (moj świat!). Stworzyłam LO za zdjeciem szeregu naszych nowych książek, ktore kupiliśmy po katastrofie z kontenerem. Jak pisalam wczesniej nasz konterem, ktory przybyl z Kanady do RPA, byl wypelniony woda. Można tylko sobie wyobrazić szkody, jakie ponieslismy: meble, pościel, osobiste rzeczy i ..... wszystkie książki! Bol! Zdecydowalismy się otrzec łzy i zacząć od nowa kolekcjonowac książki.
Moja mama jest niezastapiona, bo przesyla mi polskie ksiazki do RPA! Dzięki wielkie! To jest tak ważne dla mnie, bo niestety nie mam nikogo tutaj aby moiwc po polsku,a tak przynajmniej czytanie uratuje moj polski ;)) Znalazłam również dobre źródło dobrych tytułów: blog polskiej bibliotekarki www.godsavethebook.blogspot.com, gdzie pisze ona recenzje naprwade dobrych pozycji w literaturze. Kiedy znalazłam ten blog i zaczelam czytać, byłam oczarowana jej stylem pisania!

I'm back with the LO made for the challenge Bird is the word-Together. The sweet kiddies on it are my cousin'. I think, they are most beautiful children in the world (except mine of course, hahahaha!). I miss them a lot, but unfortunately the distance between us is too big to see each other on regular basis. But I love them anyway!!!

Now to the wonderful news, which made my day, week and month! I was featured on The Color Room (second time already!) That should push my creativity for sure!

Halo tu i owdzie,

znalazlam Art--Piaskownice i tam dziewczyny organizuja przepyszne wyzwania. Chyba sie tam zahacze na dobre!

Zaczne od Foto wyzwania z Drzwiami. Moje ulubione zdjecie drzwi, ktore niedawno zeskrapowalam. Niestety nie moge znalezc originalu zdjecia, a wiec postanowialm zglosic zdjecie drzwi na LO. Chyba nikt nie bedzie mial nic przeciwko temu, na takim art blogu?

Drzwi znalazlam na jednej z ulic Kapsztadu, nie moglam przejsc obok, musialam je uwiecznic, no i ma sie rozumiec zeskrapowac. Ciekawe, co sie za nimi kryje?

Mojo-come back!

bad news for me: no mojo, a nasty cold, tiredness..... I just keep saying: it's temporary!

I tried to make a LO with the pictures of us: my son and me on the South African beach in the winter: between 15-20 degrees Cel, hahaha!. Great time!
The palette was very interesting, so I wanted to see how is it to make something with lack of inspiration with the great combo of colors. Honestly: the result is not that bad. My hubby said: I have seen better LOs of you. Yes, I know, but sitting in my studio gives me also a balance and a new energy, doesn't matter how good the LO or card becomes. Even when I clean my desk only, I am happy in my little crafty corner!

I will enter the LO for the TCR #80 and Bird Is The Word challenge, with the title You & Me:

Organizing ribbons-mission accomplished!

EDIT: This LO below was featured on the Play Date Cafe Challenge blog, yupppi!!!

I don't know, who could pass on this challenge, but I could not: The Play Date Cafe #101 with these pictures as an inspiration. I knew immediately which picture has to be "framed". It was taken on my Birthday recently in a Caribbean Cafe Shop in Cape Town. The whole ambiente was inspiration enough for me, despite the cocktails on the menu.Well I couldn't drink them (I am breastfeeding right now, so the cocktails have to wait at least half a year!), but the atmosphere was delightful!

This is my interpretation-I hope, you like it!

I also found through Cathy Cafun the new monthly(!) scrapbooking blog, which I think, it's pretty cool and I can imagine to play there on regular basis: Kraft it up!

This month you need to create a layout using one of the following styles...
* Monochromatic
* Minimalist
* Vintage/Romantic/Shabby Chic

Guess which one, I have chosen....???? Of course Vintage! I tried to make also a minimalistic LO, but I have to work on this techinique, there are so many fun things you can add to the LO.

Yesterday I promise you to show, how I organized my ribbons. What do you think? I have to say, that's the method until now, that works the best for me. I tried different kind of stuff, but this is the real McCoy! The three pretty glasses contained Jacob's instant coffee before. I have to drink more coffee now to have more of them to accommodate other colors ;)))) No problem with that, cause I confess, I am a coffee junky!!!

Now I have to run and learn French (my target during the maternity leave!)

Book inspiration challenge-CAS-ual Fridays

Hi there,
my both passions are reading and scrapping/card making. Therefore I couldn't miss the challenge from CAS-ual Fridays (CFC #18), which is card inspired by a book in red, black and white. Lately I had a lot of good reads like The Help or The Water for Elephants. I had chosen the Water for Elephants as an inspiration: the main character Jacob (like my son) Jankowski of Polish origin during Depression (my favorite period in the literature). I really like the structure of the book, which reminds me a little bit of The Stone Angel of Margaret Laurence.

Please have a look at my card. This time very simple.That's a real pleasure to make such a CAS card.Usually I spend up to 2 hours for a card. I think, I will stick with this challenge.

Sketchy Thursday meets a new challenge "Bird is the word"

as usually I'm looking for new challenges! Please don't understand me wrong, I still love my weekly challenges like Sketchy Thursday, TCR or Pencil Lines.

Today I combined 2 challenges, one of them is new and has the coolest name: "Bird is the word". Every 2 weeks you are supposed to scrap something using the key word, like love, memory etc.

I scrap a picture with my mom, sitting on her lap, when I was 2 years old...... The LO is based on Sketchy Thursday layout and the key word used is Love.

Sketchy Thursday's LO, G45 with fairies and a small accident

another LO for you to take a look at:

I used G45 with fairies. When I got the papers from my friend Wendy, I thought I will use them for my daughter only, but look at it, I also "framed" Jakob's pictures in it. By spraying the cardstock I had a small accident: small drops of the glimmer mist went on the picture and now there is a stain...I didn't have another one to replace it, so I left it. I don't think, it looks that terrible...I don't have experience with the glimmer mist (have only one color), so I need more exercise with this medium.

The LO is meant for Sketchy Thursday 8.25. Fun, fun, fun as every Thursday!

I am so happy, I have time for crafting. It gives me sooooo much balance after a long day! A kind of therapy-honestly!

Usually I prefer to scrap than organize my crafty corner, but the situation was a kind of out of control ;) I was surprise how much fun I had! I unpack my new stamps with the theme Safari, which I bought before we left Canada! I love them! The sketch from Waltzingmouse challenge #59 was perfect to used them. Please take a look at two cards I made: I couldn't decide which one I will upload for the challenge. I think, the giraffe is so cute, that she will be entered in the contest. But you can tell, which one you prefer: giraffe or elephant!

the time came to fall in love with pink! Since I have a daughter (6 weeks!) I will scrap more in this color. Before I didn't realize how much fun it is to play with pink! I started carefully: the last palette of The Color Room #70 made it easy for me: pink PLUS green (my fave) and peachy shade of orange (another fave) and white. I used the lovely Design Papers from G45 with fairies theme, which I got from my dear friend Wendy!

Back in "business"!

Hello my faithful readers!

It's official: I'm back in my studio, this time in South Africa! To get here was a bumpy adventure with all the visa issues, waiting for the arrival of the container (with my studio!) and then the bad surprise: container filled with ocean water (3 feet) and all the damage...Now the fight with the insurance started....You won't believe it, only one of my several boxes with my goodies was damaged. A kind of miracle!

Last week I was setting up my crafty corner and last night, when my both children were sleeping, I was creating after 4 months break-what a delight! I used the sketch of Card Patterns #126.

I started simple, with a set of my new stamps from MME and my new border punch from my dear stamping friend Wendy! Yummy! I hope, you like the card!

A sweet addition to our family!

Hello my faithful bloggers,

Sorry, I let you wait for this post that long. I apologize for my silence, but you must understand that a moving from one continent to another is kind of tricky, particularly when one is struggling with the visa issues. But it is so far: we finally landed in Cape Town, South Africa!

The first week was extremely busy, but we are settling in slowly. My hubby started his job, our son is at the day care the 1st day and I am preparing for the birth of our Baby #2 (end of June) and organizing our live in the new home.

Because my studio is on the way to South Africa on a ship, I will have to take a break from scrapbooking and card making for another 2 months (how will I manage the time without my stamps, inks and papers???) I have already itchy fingers, but watching other crafty bloggers helps a little bit!

For now I show you only a beautiful picture of the painted face I found on the internet. Until then I say: See you soon!!!

Witajcie moi wierni obserwatorzy!

Przykro mi, ze musieliscie czekac tak dlugo na ten post, ale musicie zrozumiec, ze przeprowadzka z kontynentu na kontynent moze byc problematyczna, np. w kwestii wizy. No ale wszystko sie udalo i w koncu wyladowalismy w Kapsztadzie!

Nasz pierwszy tydzien byl bardzo przebojowy, ale powoli sie aklimatyzujemy. Moj "malz" zaczal prace, synus poszedl do przedszkola, a ja w koncu moge sie przygotowac do narodzin naszej coreczki (pod koniec czerwca) i organizuje nasze codzienne zycie w nowej Ojczyznie.

Poniewaz moje studio jest w drodze do RPA na statku, musze wytrzymac 2 miesiace bez mojego ukochanego hobby (czytaj: obsesji). Jeszcze nie wiem, jak wytrzymam ten czas bez moich stempelkow, atramentow i papierkow???? Juz mnie palce swedza, ale ogladanie innych blogow moich scrapujacych przyjaciol troche pomaga!

Hello,
After a bunch of cards lately, finally a LO.

This LO is based on Jakob's first trip with our Piper which registration number is C-GJBY. He was so excited and focused during the flight like his father, who is our pilot. I had to take some pics of my two pilots and the palette #50 of The Color Room was perfect to scrapbook them. I used my new stamp set from SU! With two pilots in the family I felt obligated to have them in my collection=) Every reason is good to buy stamps, right?

This time, very modest with the embellishments, but I was focusing on colors and stamps. I also really wanted to use the pilot map as a background. Sometimes less is more.....

one more post today-using the time when my little guy is having fun with his buddies at the day care and my big guy spending time at the phone conference =)

I decided to play this time with CR84FN color challenge and Waltzingmouse sketch #39 challenge. During my work on this card and other card for the Play Date Cafe challenge #73 I came to the conclusion that I feel better working with purple, but I'm totally lost working with pink. So I'm now relieved, when I think about scrapbooking pictures of my little girl, who will be born in June this year. I will use a lot of purple and for variety purposes peachy color, which I also like. Think about the designer papers from Graphics 45-my dear stamping friend Wendy organized them for me. Thanks Wendy!!!

this time I made two similar cards, but for two different challenges. I used the designer papers from Cosmo Cricket, which I adore and wish, I could buy them again. But somehow can't find them anymore.

The first card is for the Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger-Oh so lovely with the great inspiration picture. When I saw it, I had to think of my Cosmo Cricket stash. I used again my silhouettes stamp, but lately I just love them, because last week I won a challenge using them ;)

New Color Challenge-Totally Hues & Fave Color Challenge-ColorQ!

Happy hellos,

I needed to make a Baby Boy card and I found a new color challenge Totally Hues #3, which matches my theme. I didn't want to make it only blue. I think the combo: blue plus shades of oranges is awesome choice!
By coincidence ColorQ #75 has very similar combo this week, but I was more inspired by the picture of animal cookies. I left out the black color, because I want to avoid this color for a Baby card.

Hello bloggers,

this evening was unbelievable for me-my Mojo didn't want to leave my studio!!! I wish, I have this feeling every evening! Usually I am a slower cardmaker/scrapbooker, but tonight I produced 3 cards. I can imagine, that the great sketch from Waltzingmouse Challenge #36 was the reason!

I had a hard time to decide, which of these three cards I will enter for the challenge and that's my choice!

I have to confess that I switch a little bit the sketch to be able to use my beautiful new stamps from Hero Arts and my fave Webster's pages.

The second product of my Mojo tonight is also made using of the three beauties, but in different colors.

The third one is made using the peacock feather, matching the gorgeous Webster's pages designer paper. I couldn't resist to add some blinkies in the centre of the feathers. That's the best part of the process of card making for me-adding some embellishments... like a dessert.

It's late already, I better go to bed, tomorrow a long day for me, but I feel so good after my precious time in my studio. Am I obsessed with my stamping.....????? No......hmmmm, maybe a little bit...... A nice obsession, don't you think?

...you see this picture of our Jakob, but sorry I can't help it!
I think, that the most beautiful picture of him: 3 days old and sleeping like an angel (he is still the best baby sleeper in the world!) I remember really well this golden hour with him: just we three in the hospital room, a sunny May afternoon. We couldn't be happier!

I used the color combo from ColorQ #73 (a lot of blue-a real challenge for me!), but the green rescued me. The sketch was very helpful in the creating process..... of course from Pencil Lines (#225)-I try to play regularly with them lately!

Sketchy Thursdays 2.17, Color challenges and other layouts!

I have for your 3 layouts for today, be warned a lot of pictures!

The first one is for 2.17 Sketchy Thursdays:

Sometimes I'm amazed why children can play with simple stuff like a box for hours! Jakob was exploring this box for almost an hour and when we removed it finally from the living room he was very disappointed.

The second layout is related to the Pencil Lines' Design Team Search 2011. Not that I think, I have a big chance, but a little "body friendly"adrenaline doesn't hurt, even a pregnant woman =)
I also found that the colors match the challenge at Curtain Call Color #70:

Their sketch was perfect to frame my picture from my dreamland like PEI. It was always my dream to visit the place of Anne of Green Gables. I am a big fan of her and literature of Lucy Maud Montgomery. After I lost my twin pregnancy, my hubby took me there and I could feel there, I can breath again!

The third and last layout for tonight is for The Color Room #46 with my fave part of the house: His Room-my colors! The layout is simple, but the designer paper (Bo Bunny) is so rich and yummy that I didn't dare to add more.The Color Throwndown #129 has similar combo this week, so I give a try there too:

The gorgeous Webster's Pages and Christmas in February

This is my entry for Sketchy Thursdays March Guest Designer Call. I had a lot of fun to work with the sketch. The Webster's Pages are beautiful, but not easy for me to work with, because they are already so rich and I don't like to overdo.

Last year our son Jakob couldn't walk yet at the Christmas time, but he took the decorating of the tree very seriously, he was watching, if everything is done properly-therefore the look. This year was a bit different. The Christmas balls were EVERYWHERE!

Quick note about the picture of the layout: I had to use my hubby's camera...much too complicated for me, therefore the picture is not perfect....=( I miss my camera, but it's coming back next week, with hubby together ;)

"finally" is the title of my post, becuase finally I made a scrapbook page with THE picture of Jakob-our son. We took this picture in the hospital, 3 or 5 days after he was born. We just love this pic, becuase he looks like a fledgling, don't you think?

"W koncu" jest tytulem mojego posta, bo w koncu zrobilam LO z najpiekniejszym zdjeciem naszego synka Kubusia. Zrobilismy to zdjecie 3 albo 5 dni po porodzie. Uwielbiamy to zdjecie, poniewaz wyglada on na nim jak takie kurczatko, nie sadzicie?

I was waiting for the right papers to use with the picture. And here we are: hydrangeas*-my fave flowers and my fave person in the world! The yummy leaves I got from my mom, I wanted use them a long time, this project was perfect for that! Thanks Mom-send please more of them!

I used the sketch from Just Us Girls #70, which I think works also great for a scrapbook page, not only for card. Because the background paper is so rich, I limited the amount of the elements on the page.

Robin-a special meaning

New goodies from SU! When I saw the stamps, I thought, they are made just for me, hihihi!

I couldn't say NO to this set, because the robin bird has a special meaning to me. After I lost twin pregnancy in 2007, I thought I couldn't have a healthy pregnancy anymore... I was devastated for many months. One day in May/June robin nested in the hanging basket at our entrance door (very unfortunate spot!) We had to use the back door for a while, because the robin mom was very stressed due to our presence. When the robin babies finally fledged, somehow I felt a lot of HOPE. and guess what-when the robin babies left the nest at our entrance door, I became pregnant, had a very good pregnancy and now we have almost 2 years old son Jakob and....I'm pregnant again!

This the result of the perfect mix of sketch by Card Patterns #100, color combo by ColorThrowdown #127 and stamp set from SU!:

The Guest Designer this time is a Polish artist - Kasza. I'm so proud, that the Polish girls are so talented, I have seen some of them in the Super 6 of the Card Patterns challenges.

Fun with Curtain Call Color and Mojo & a newbie: CR84FN

Hi there,

I have some goodies for you to take a look at, I made in the last 2 nights!

The Curtain Call Color Challenge #67 offers this week such a lovely color combo and yummy picture, I must to play, this time with LO. I was waiting a long time to use the My Mind's Eye papers. Hopefully I can get them again, somewhere...please let me know, if you saw them online!

I made a card using the same MME papers-I'm so ga-ga over them!
That's for my friend, who started chemotherapy this week! I have to think of her every day!

The Mojo #176 sketch was perfect for this card-one of my fastest card- I felt so comfortable with the sketch.
Even more.... underneath you will see one more card, where I used the Mojo sketch ;)

Last but not least a new challenge for me-CR84FN #13, I decided to play because of the wonderful color inspiration. Knowing me-the elephant on the picture "forced" me to do something ORIENTAL ;0)

OK, now I have to explain-I had this idea with the half-pearls and gemstones and bandages for a while., this time I had to try to combine these elements. I'm quite happy with the result! Maybe the card is a bit dark, but has some mysterious oriental touch.....Well, at least in my eyes.... Please let me some comments, if you got the message, I wanted to send to you in this card....

A good reason and catching up with some challenges...

Hello after a while!

I hope, you still remember me....I know, it has been a while since my last posting: over a month ago! But believe me, I have a very good reason to "neglect" you! I'm 13th weeks pregnant!!! I was suffering of nausea and an extremely lack of energy. The first thing I had to give up to get some rest (at least in the night) was my card making and scrapbooking. But now I fell like my energy is slowly coming back and I'm sitting in my studio almost every evening.
After 12th week I can make this wonderful news about my pregnancy official, even on my blog!

Due to such a long absence I want to catch up with some challenges. Gosh, I miss them!

I hope, everything harmonize in your eyes on this card, I prepared according to the just beautiful combo from Play Date Cafe Challenge #53 and based on sketch of course Card Patterns #88. Last week was crazy for our family, so I skipped the challenge #87. Pity!

Tym razem uzylam stempli ktore nieco zostaly zapomniane w mojej szufladzie, z Crafty Secret. bardzo mi sie one podobaja, ale mam troche prblemu z nimi jak je polaczyc z kolorowymi papierami. Mam nadzieje, ze udalo mi sie tym razem i wszystko harmonizuje. Przygotowalam ta kartke bazujac na kolrach z Play Date Cafe Challenge#53 i Card Patterns #88. Ostatni ich skecz musialam sobie odpuscic, bo mielismy wariacki tydzien w rodzinie: wyjazdy itp.

just quick post, because tonight we have a movie evening with hubby: I rent some nice documentaries. Without TV (our choice!) we have the freedom to watch what we want.

Dzis tylko krotki post, poniewaz ogladamy dzis wieczorem filmy dokumentarne z malzem. Bez telewizji (nasz wybor!) mamy ta wolnosc, ze ogladamy co chcemy.

Today a card for Card Patterns #86 (traditionally, I'm amazed that I manage to play every single week!) & Color Throwdown #115. At first I was skeptical with the combination, but when I stared, my fingers almost burned =), to finish the card. And I'm very pleased (how modest of me!) with the result....kind of artistic...Hahahaha! Mona Lisa helped me with that!

Dzisiaj mam dla Was kartke na wyzwania Card Patterns #86 (tradycja, az jestem zaskoczona, ze udaje mi sie grac regularnie) & Color Throwdown #115. Na pozcatku bylam sceptyczna z kolorami, ale jak zaczelam sklecac ta kartke, to az mi sie pod palcami kurzylo, tak mi sie fajnie ja robilo. Jestem bardzo zadowolona z rezultatu (ale jestem skromna, co?)....tak jakos artystycznie...Hahahahaha! Mona Lisa mi pomogla!

New challenge & WM #19/Nowe wyzwanie & WM #19

Hello,
I found a new challenge with a hilarious name: Stamping 411. I would say totally my case. When I feel down, I run to my studio and few minutes later, I'm fine: the card making is for me like finding balance after the whole day of stress, running and noise. I also found in the blog-land a blog of a card maker with the name: My Cardz, My Passion.... My Therapy. So true!

I entered this card for the new challenge of Stamping 411 with this nice sketch, perfect for X-mas mass production:

The next challenge I'm participating in, is Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #19. What I like on their sketches: you have soooooooo many possibilities.

Please take a look at other X-Mas card, which I really like, because the paper wasn't easy to work with. But when I saw the sketch, I knew immediately I will use this "difficult" paper (BTW: my favorite Graphics 45).

Hydrangea in pink/brown-Mojo #159 & ColorThrowndown #113/Hortensja na rozowo-brazowo

Hi,

today very nice combination of pink and braun. My mom sent me the designer papers (thanks Mom!), and when I got this out off the envelope, I wanted to make a card with that immediately. My new stamp set with hydrangea jumped at once in my mind.

Dzisiaj mam dla Was kartke z przemila kombinacja kolorow: roz z brazem. Dostalam je od mojej Mamy (Dzieki!), gdy je wyciagnelam z koperty, odrazu chcialam zasiasc do stolu i uzyc ich na miejscu! Moj nowy set stempli z hortensjami (moje ulubione) odrazu przyszedl mi do glowy.

The Mojo Sketch #159 for the card with gorgeous papers from my Mom was perfect, I could really feel it.... The process of making the card went soooo smooth... I really like the feeling. I couldn't resist to use my sewing machine. After I lubricated the machine last week, it runs now like my 18 years old Geo Metro (read: great!) =)))

The colors challenge are matching the Color Throwndown challenge #113.

Mapka Mojo #159 do kartki z tymi fajowymi papierami od Eli poprostu przemowil do mnie. Proces robienia kartki szedl jak po masle, nie zdarza sie to za czesto.... Nie moglam sie oprzec uzyc mojej maszyny do szycia. Potym jak ja naoleilam, chodzi jak moj 18-letni samochod Geo Metro (czytaj: super) =)))

The card is meant for a friend, who is an artist (www.encaustic.ca), she paints with waxes. Very interesting technique. When we finish our renovations and I have more space in my studio (yupppi), I will paint with waxes again. I love the encaustic backgrounds for the cards! I will show it to you soon!

Oficjalnie oglaszam, ze przepiekne papiery Basic Grey Cappella zostaly pociete! Zakupilam je przed 3 miesiacami, ale jakos nie moglam sie przemoc, zeby je pociac, najpierw musialam sobie na nie popatrzec, jak zwykle...

I decided to make a card for Card Patterns #84, using the cute papers. This sketch is just perfect to display the beauty of the Cappella, don't you think?

Postanowilam z nich zrobic kartke, uczestniczac w wyzwaniu Card Patterns#84. Tym razem ich mapka jest poprostu perfekcyjna, aby pokazac piekno tych papierow, nie uwazacie?

tonight I have a card to show for the Embellish Magazine Challenge Using Background Stamping.

That was the great opportunity for me to apply the tissue paper technique, which result I love, but always forget to make cards with that. So many techniques and the evening has just few hours.....! Are you agree with me?

On my card I stamped 2 backgrounds: the first one the medallions on the tissue paper and the second one En francais (my fav stamp!) as the background for the fleur-de-lis.

Today I show you 3 "Thank you" cards. You may think, I'm so thankful....Well, one of them is an order and 2 of them will go to very nice people ;)

#1 will be entered for the Card Patterns #83...I just can "feel" their sketches, almost every time, also this time I knew from the beginning, how the card will look like with the sketch. It was very helpful to have the suggested combination of colors from Curtain Call #49, which in my opinion is perfect for a masculine card.

I have to say, I really like the result. Please take a look:

With #2 I'm playing Waltzingmouse Challenge #16...Their stamps are yummy....Hmmm, I really have appetite to order something from their menu....like Rescue Remedies...

I just love the designer paper I used...What can I say: MME! I got more of them from my dear friend Wendy...O Wendy...you know what I like!!! Thanks a lot!

#3 for tonight is meant for a new for me challenge: 2Sketches4You #62 using my faves Webster's Pages.

I was planning to use my sewing machine on this one, but unfortunately my sewing machine wasn't that cooperative tonight. I have to take a look at it tomorrow......
I think without sewing it looks OK, but the ribbon is kind of thick and I was hoping to make it flat with some sewing....Well, next time!

Now I'm off and looking forward to play other challenges in the next days ;)

Wedding sari as an inspiration

Hello there,
just look at that........

..... I couldn't resist to make a card (even at midnight) when I saw this GORGEOUS sari-photo inspiration from no time to stamp #158! I love the colors, the fabrics, just everything!!!

I remember, one day I wanted to buy a sari like this for the wedding of my cousin, because I didn't have any idea for a nice wedding outfit. I thought, why not something unique....Well, unfortunately I didn't realize my plan, because of the prize of the sari: $400....
The sketch for the card is as promised from Card Patterns Challenge #82. This time, a tricky one, but I think, matching perfect the picture with the oriental bride.

The card is meant for my mom for her birthday. That's absolutely her colors! please take a look to the card!

The friend is gone...forever/Odszedl przyjaciel...na zawsze

Hello,
this time a very sad post on my blog....Our friend Piotr from Poland died few days ago, he suffered cancer for 17 years. Piotr was a great warrior, I was sure, he will win the battle again...but unfortunately this time he didn't....
We will miss Piotr every single day: he was always interested in people, he cared for everyone. He was very funny and smart guy. My husband Maik (he is German), he called him: the coolest Pole, he ever met.
I will never forget, when Piotr surprised us at our wedding day: he recorded the day before the wedding celebration the wedding and our wedding day. Thanks to him, our important day was documented as well his laughter behind the camera!
Good bye Piotr!

Dzis bardzo smutny post na moim blogu... Nasz przyjaciel Piotr odszedl od nas kilka dni temu po 17-letniej walce z rakiem. Piotr walczyl do konca, bylam pewna, ze i tym razem mu sie uda wygrac z raczyskiem, ale niestety....
Bedzie nam brakowac Piotra kazdego dnia: Piotr kochal ludzi i interesowal sie kazdym z nas. Byl madrym facetem i mial niesamowite poczucie humoru. Moj maz Maik (jest Niemcem), powiedzial o nim kiedys: Piotr jest najbardziej coolowskim Polakiem jakiego spotkal.
Nigdy nie zapomnimy jak Piotr zaskoczyl nas w dniu slubu, krecac o nas film. Dzieki niemu nasz tak wazny dzien zostal udokumentowany, a takze jego smiech za kamera ;)

Tons of fun and bunch of cards!

Hello,

finally I found time to write the post. I have three cards to show....all different: oriental one, X-Mas one (I 'm warning you: from now on, in every post you will see my X-Mas "production") and summery one.

I start with the oriental one, I had so much fun to make it. Everything went so smooth, particularly the choice of design papers (sometimes I spent too much time only to choose right patterned papers)...
The inspiration came from Moxie Fab World, Tuesday Trigger-An Exercise in Exotic with this picture and the sketch from i{heart}2stamps:

I could make only oriental cards and I wouldn't be bored....You can find some on my blog and even more in my drawer!

Next in the row is the summary card. I combined, as usally =), two challenges: The Play Date Cafe #43 and Card Patterns #78-I have to confess: I forgot the sentiment....I hope the jury will forgive me that =)))))):

The last card for today is a x-massy one. Last year I started making X-mas cards in August too and it wasn't too early. I send every year approximately 70 cards to the family and friends (all of them overseas!!!) and I'm proud of myself, because everyone gets a different card!
With this card I play the Taylored Expressions #125 and Color Throwndown (of course!!!) #106:

I have to admit, I'm not happy with sewing on this card, but I promise that I will practice! I call it: happy accident, maybe there is someone in the blog-land and like such a chaotic sewing....

due to my tiredness (my little guy is almost walking, he wants to "go" everywhere!!!), the post will be short, but with a card for a special person: a new baby girl of my friend Karina! The little princess was born at the beginning of August with some health issues. I hope, she will be better soon. I can imagine, that she is as strong as her mom! Good luck girls-I'm thinking of you!

Z powodu mojego zmeczenia (moj Kubus prawie chodzi sam, teraz chce "isc" wszedzie, gdzie go nozki poniosa!!!), ten post bedzie krotki, ale szczegolny, poniewaz kartka jest dla specjalnej osobki: nowonarodzonej coreczki mojej przyjaciolki z dziecinstwa Kariny! Mala ksiezniczka przyszla na swiat na poczatku sierpnia, niestety z pewnymi problemami zdrowotnymi. Mam nadzieje, ze Malutka bedzie zdrowiec. Moge sobie wyobrazic, ze jest ona tak samo silna jak jej Mama! Zycze Wam obydwu szczescia-jestem z Wami myslami!

Dla prawdziwych fanow Swiat przygotowalam takze kartke w prawdziwych kolorach swiatecznych, takze wedlug sketchu Simple & Clean #103.

Now I have to leave the blogland, because we are going to the small ZOO with farm animals in the neighborhood. Jakob loves to feed the donkeys and to pull the bunnies ears. Of course, he shouldn't do that, but he is learning right now the word: "gentle" =)

I decided to try to make a simple card. Not that easy-I tell ya that! I need a rest from everyday' busyness. I used my favorite stamp with artichoke....such a interesting veggie. I tell you why:

zdecydowalam sie na zrobienie prostej kartki. Nie takie latwe jakby sie wydawalo. Chyba potrzebuje odpoczynku od lataniny...

Uzylam do tej kartki ulubionego stempla z karczochem...ach coz za interesujace warzywko. Juz mowie dlaczego...

Once when I was teenager I have seen a movie (unfortunately I don't remember the title-if you know, please write me a comment to this post), and I remember only one scene of it: a woman giving birth (probably 19th century, maybe beginning of the 20th). The scenes of her effort during labor and artichoke bud opening in the time lapse. Every time when I see an artichoke, I have to think about it. Guess what I was thinking of, when I was in labor =)

Gdy bylam piekna i mloda, widzialam film (niestety nie pamitam tytulu, jesli ktos z Was wie o ktory chodzi, piszcie w komentarzu!), i zapamietalam z niego jedna jedyna scene: rodzacaca kobiete (przelom XIX / XX wieku). Dwie scene byly pokazywane jednoczesnie: ona w bolach porodu i dojrzewanie karczocha pokazane w przespieszonym tempie. Za kazdym razem gdy widze karczochy, przypomina mi sie ta scena. Zgadnijcie o czym myslalam w czasie porodu mojego synka =)

Beautiful colors!/Piekne kolorki!

Hi,

when I see beautiful colors combination for a challenge I can't say NO to the game. That was the acse with Embellish Birds Color Challenge. A sketch from Taylored Expression#123 was helpful creating the card with my favorite stamp with the Peacock.

Computer issues/Problemy z kompem

....I think, I'm not the only one, who hates to have issues with the computer. My computer admin (my hubby=)))) had to install Windows again! Because still renovating, it took time...Anyway I'm back...!! I missed some challenges, but I will survive!

I didn't miss these though:
-Card Patterns #76
-Color Throwndown #104 with summer colors and I used the beautiful design papers from Webster's Pages:

-the Polish challenge Kartki #17: Three times-I used 3D, 3 times the same stamp in different spot, 3 kinds of embellies, 3 sizes of nesties

....the renovations are almost over in my house!!! Yupppi! I just love the results! Thanks to my very handy hubby, the house is so cute! I will share one day pictures with you, when the renovation chaos is over ;)

Hi there,

today two cards, but quickly. There are some renovations going on in my house, so everything chaotic and dusty......

Today I play a challenges of course ColourQ #42 and Mojo #148.

I had the set of stamps for a long time and don't use a lot, but I love it, but....kind of difficult to use: doesn't match every occasion.

The second card for today's post will be entered for the challenges: as usual Play Date Cafe #39

and NEW one Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #122 (another consequence of my "challengeholism").

Hello again on the same day (to be precise-evening),
Hello ponownie w ten sam dzien (a raczej wieczor),

This is my favorite method to participate in the challenges: combining a color challenge and a sketch challenge-so much fun!!!! Today again: JUGs #42 (Orange, Navy, Green and Cream) meets Card Patterns #73 with the following sketch.
Oto moja ulubiona metoda bawienia sie w wyzwania: laczenie wyzwania kolorow z wyzwanie mapkowym-ale jest wtedy zabawy!!! Dzisiaj znowu jestem w swoim zywiole: JUGs #42 (pomarancz, ciemnoniebieski, zielony i kremowy) spotkalo sie z Card Patterns #73 ze sketchem po prawej.

When I got my new goodies from SU!-I couldn't stop to play with the stamps of veggies for example the artichoke. It simple cute and .... tasty! No, no...not the stamp the veggie artichoke itself!
Guess what I used for the card???? The artichoke stamp!!! Love it, love it, love it!!!

Ostatnio jak dostalam w rece moje nowe zabawki ze Stamping Up! nie moglam przestac sie bawic stemplami z warzywkami, np. z karczochem. Poprostu przepiekny i.... smaczny! Nie, nie...nie stempel, samo warzywko!
Zgadnij co wykorzystal w tej kartce?No wlasnie stempel z karczochem!!! Uiwelbiam, uwielbiam i jeszcze raz uwielbiam!

Don't you think, I make a lot of food related cards lately? I think, that's the season: tones of fresh fruit!
Nie sadzicie, ze ostatnio cos sie lubuje w kartkach zwiazanymi z jedzeniem? Mysle, ze to wynik takiego sezonu: tony swirzych owocow wokol nas!
